CAMRA's WhatPub entry gives its hours as noon to 11pm Monday to Thursday, noon to midnight on Friday and Saturday and noon to 10.30pm on Sunday, and the phone number as 01442 832679. It is a wet-led local rather than a dining pub: no food is served. There is a roadside garden and a car park at the back, several large screens showing sport, a pool table and a dart board with teams in local leagues. Dogs are welcome and children are admitted until 9pm. Morland Old Speckled Hen, 4.5 per cent, is the regular cask ale. Dacorum Borough Council rated it 5, very good, for food hygiene on 31 March 2023, FSA reference 202033.
